Monroe and Wabash
Coldest Hug Yet.
We had toe warmers and hand warmers and gloves and hats and scarves. Many shades and textures of Red. Somehow lost one balloon in the preparation. We had lots of friends come down from work, or pass us going by, even some by real surprise, Sangeet and Beth meeting on their way to lunch.
There were lots of hugs to keep us warm. We felt the warmth in each other, in the people who walked by, we basked and braved. We giggled at the repetitions, the things we noticed, the newness of each face and body that came into our orbit.
We are a constellation, and we are shining in the bright cold air.
